Payments to Westminster City Council

Did you know that there are a number of ways that you can pay your council bills?

Direct Debit: The easy way to pay. Paying by Drect Debit will save you time, trouble and unnecessary costs. Direct Debit is very safe, and is covered by the ‘Direct Debit Guarantee’, which provides protection and reassurance. This guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies involved in the Direct Debit Scheme, and means that in the unlikely event of a mistake being made, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund by your bank or building society. To join the Direct Debit scheme for council tax and business rates simply call 0845 302 3400 and 0208 215 2050 respectively and we will set your direct debit up over the phone. Alternativley you can also download a Council Tax and Business Rates Direct Debit form now. A rent & service charge direct debit form can be found on the CityWest Homes "Ways to pay my rent" page"  or pick up a Direct Debit form from any Estate Office in Westminster. After completion, post to the respective addresses on the forms.

Here are just a few of the reasons why so many people choose to pay by Direct Debit:

  • It’s convenient and means your bills are paid automatically.  No more queuing, no more cheques, no more phonecalls to the bank.
  • It means no more worries about not having paid - once you have been set up on Direct Debit you can relax and avoid receiving reminders and costs
  • It’s safe and reliable, and means you don’t have to carry cash.
