Finance and Transformation
The Committee is responsible for scrutinising the work of the Cabinet Member for Finance and Transformation. However, it also regularly scrutinises other Cabinet portfolios as part of a rolling programme. It may also look more widely at anything relating to the council’s financial position such as counting the 2011 Census, Members' allowances and property management strategy. Other key work areas include:
- The general policies and strategies for the Council's financial practices and procedures, as well as in-year financial monitoring and reviewing priorities and budget options for future years
- IT and ICT
- Benefits and benefits policy
- The provision of Customer Services by the City Council
-
Internal programmes to improve efficiency
