City of Westminster

Decision making

The council is made up of 60 locally elected councillors, including the Lord Mayor, who make decisions on how to provide local services on behalf of local people.

Decisions are made by the full Council, the Cabinet, Individual Cabinet Members and Commitees.

Key decisions that the Council plans to make in the coming months are published in the Council's Forward Plan of key decisions.

The Council's Constitution describes the ways the Council operates, including the Council's processes, codes of conduct and rules.

You will find information here about how the Council makes decisions and the meetings the Council holds.
