All our archived registers will be moved in storage from 24th June to 1st September 2013 to allow for the register office move out of Westminster Council House. During this time, we will be unable to provide birth, death and marriage certificates from registrations within the City of Westminster (or the former boroughs of Paddington, Marylebone and Westminster)*. If you need a copy of a certificate during the above time period, please contact the General Register Office. *In urgent circumstances, birth certificates from 1990 to present day may be purchased at the Westminster Register Office. However we cannot guarantee a same-day service for these certificates due to relocation of our records. In addition, we regret we will be unable to undertake corrections to archived registers during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. |
