London Asylum Seekers Consortium

The London Asylum Seekers Consortium (LASC) is a central resource for London local authorities who deliver services to unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people.

The core service focus is the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. This includes provision of accommodation and support services, information and training and partnership working. 

LASC works in partnership with London boroughs, UK Border Agency (UKBA), London Councils, voluntary agencies and government bodies in the provision of services, safeguarding and protection of children and young people.

The LASC web pages are a centralised information point for London boroughs, stakeholder and external agencies. The web pages contain updates on core areas of LASC services and provide the foundation for information and general enquiries raised by local authorities. LASC will continue to research projects and initiatives in London for children and young people and these services will be sign posted within the web pages for London boroughs and stakeholders to access.
