Premises Management
The role of the Premises Management Delivery Unit is to provide proactive and responsive Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing services to residents, businesses and visitors to the city.

Food Safety
- Promote and regulate food safety in food premises within the City
- To control and investigate outbreaks of food poisoning.
- To advise the general public, new and existing business on good practice in relation to food safety.

Health & Safety
- Ensure commercial premises provide safe working conditions
- Conduct risk assessments to identify all potential risks to health
- Provide educational activities to highlight Health & Safety issues
Consultation Team
The Consultation team provides the Environmental Health input into the planning and licensing application process. This involves liaising with applicants over the detail of applications, presenting evidence to licensing committees and acting as expert witnesses at court. The team also lead on the implementation of the Council's contaminated land strategy.
Environmental Sciences
- Monitor air and water quality and contaminated land
- Provide expert acoustic advice to the Planning and Licensing services
- Develop noise mapping to display noise hotspots across Westminster
