Westminster Compact
The Westminster Compact is an agreement between the statutory sector and the voluntary and community sector in Westminster.
It sets out shared principles for managing the relationship between both sectors and a series of actions which aim to facilitate an environment which makes it easier for the voluntary sector to do what it does best.
The Westminster Compact is supported by a Steering Group that meets quarterly. The Steering Group currently consists of voluntary & community sector representatives, and statutory representatives from the Council and NHS Westminster.
Tell us your views on Working Together: The Westminster Compact 2011
The Westminster Compact has recently been refreshed and it is now out for consultation. The new Compact is more closely aligned to the new National Compact released in November 2010.
We would like your views on a range of issues including the commitments set out in the document and how we can ensure these are fully implemented by the organisations involved in the Compact. This will help us form a Compact Action Plan so that real and measurable steps can be taken to help the voluntary sector in Westminster do its best for the communities it serves.
The new Compact and consultation questions are available to download below. Please send your responses to civiccommunity@westminster.gov.uk by 23 February 2012.
The current Westminster Compact is also available to download below.
