Who we are

The Special Events Group is a discretionary (non-statutory) service offered by Westminster City Council to support the safe planning and regulation of filming and events, and to balance these activities with the needs of residents and businesses. We do this by working with other Council departments and with partners such as the Police and London Fire Emergency Planning Authority.

Regulation

We regulate planned events and filming to make sure that these activities do not unfairly disrupt public highways or impact negatively on residents or businesses. You can find more information about filming or holding an event in Westminster on our pages.

Information

We also act as a point of information and expertise for anyone who is planning an event or film in Westminster, and also publicise upcoming events and premieres in the City.
