Sunbeds (Regulations) Act 2010

Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010

The Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010 comes into force on the 8th April 2011.  Anyone who provides or intends to provide ultra violet tanning via the use of a sunbed at a premises must now comply with the new Act.

One of the main requirements under the new Act is:

  • No person under 18 years of age may use a sunbed or be offered the use of a sunbed or be in an area defined as a 'Restricted Zone' within a premises where sunbeds are loacted.
