Loudspeaker Consent

The legislation has changed regarding the use of Amplified Noise Equipment (ANE) within 1km of Parliament Square. There is no longer a requirement to seek consent for use of ANE at any time in this area unless the use is within the Controlled Area of Parliament Square.

The Controlled Area of Parliament Square means the area of land that is comprised in-

(a)the central garden of Parliament Square, and

(b)the footways that immediately adjoin the central garden of Parliament Square.

 The land in (a) is the responsibility of the GLA therefore you need to contact the GLA. The land in (b) is the responsibility of Westminster Council.
