Licensing Service

The Council is responsible for the administration, processing and enforcement of a large range of licenses, permits, notices and permissions within the City of Westminster. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Premises and Personal licenses under the Licensing Act 2003
  • Street Trading (including street markets and tables and chairs)
  • Gambling licences, permits and lotteries under the Gambling Act 2005
  • General licensing such as Sex Establishments, Pet Shops, Dangerous Wild Animals, Performing Animals, Massage and Special Treatment, Marriage Venues, Poisons, Animal Boarding, Public Auctions, Weighbridge Operators, Zoos, etc.

  • Book training

    We now offer BIIAB Level 2 Personal Licence Holder training and Licensing Practitioner training. It is simple to book and pay online,

  • General Licensing

  • New Licensing Register

    You can now view the new online public registers for all premises applications and licences. You can also now track applicaitons, set up notifications relating to applicaitons in an area, etc.

  • Temporary Event Notices - Licensing Act 2003

    You can access the Temporary Event Page here. Please note that the requirements for temporary event notices changed on the 25th April 2012.
