Sustainable Consumption
According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) if everyone lived like the average UK citizen, we would need 3 planets to support us! Of course we only have one planet, so it’s vital to consume within our limits so that future generations will have enough to do the same.
Below are some ideas on how to consume responsibly by using less resources. In some cases, following these suggestions saves money too!
5 Ways to Consume Sustainably
- Ask yourself if you really need it. Purchasing in excess of your needs wastes natural resources, energy and your money.
- Choose re-usable solutions over disposable ones where possible.
-
Use your own re-usable carrier bags to carry your purchases.
-
Choose e-billing options when possible instead of paper billing.
-
Choose trains over planes whenever possible when travelling on business or for pleasure.
