By recycling your rubbish you can help to protect and improve our environment.

Recycling means that items normally disposed of in landfill sites (large holes in the ground) or burnt can be reprocessed and remade into many useful products.
Every item you recycle makes a difference.

We want to make the doorstep recycling services as convenient and easy to use as possible.
You have told us that the baskets are not big enough for all your recycling, so as a trial we are delivering blue disposable bags and an informational postcard to over 30,000 households, who currently have a basket collection. This should help residents to recycle more of their waste.
The deliveries are starting on Monday 3rd November 2008 to selected properties in the following wards; Abbey Road, Hyde Park, Maida Vale, Knightsbridge & Belgravia, Tachbrook, Bayswater, Westbourne, Warwick, Regents Park, Lancaster Gate, Bryanston & Dorset, Vincent Square, Church Street and Marylebone High Street.
For further information regarding the recycling services, call the Environment Action Line on 0207 641 2000 or email recycling@westminster.gov.uk.
