West End monthly report

Regular projects
Each City Guardian within the West End takes personal responsibility for a project that aims to improve the quality of life of residents within the area. These projects include:

Soho and Chinatown

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual - Paul works closely with this group by attending monthly meetings and providing responses to issues raised and passing areas of concern onto partner agencies. 

Business Audits - Koon Ying conducts monthly audits to highlight areas of concern and this provides assistance to local stakeholders.

Chinese Community – James works closely with the Chinese Community Centre to build stronger relationships. He assists with events throughout the year and attends the youth club every Friday afternoon.

PubWatch – Sam attends PubWatch meetings on a monthly basis. The meetings are attended by a cross section of partners and together they help to resolve areas of concern.

Religious Groups - Tony is the link officer for all religious groups in the area. He addresses any areas of concern and provides feedback on concerns raises at the monthly meetings that he attends. 

Heart of London

Environmental - Natalia collates the information gathered on the daily environmental audits and ensures that all new or ongoing problems are identified and are brought to the attention of partner agencies.

Highways - Daniel is responsible for collating information gathered on a daily basis, identifying new and ongoing problems, and passing the information on to partner agencies.

Graffiti and Fly-posting - Ade works with both internal and external partners to ensure the area is kept free from graffiti and fly-posting. He reports all problems encountered on his regular audits to partner agencies and chases queries when necessary.

Homelessness - Ryan ensures that all homelessness issues that are identified are raised at the local meetings which he attends on a fortnightly basis. He also ensures that the team are kept up to date with changes to individuals situations.

Business Audits - Peter ensures that the fortnightly business audits are completed. He collates the information and passers on any concerns to partner agencies. He then provides feedback to the businesses on the progress of the issues raised.

Telephone Repair - Alan is responsible for building stronger relationships with telephone companies. He ensures that telephone boxes are well maintained and regularly cleaned.
