SouthWestminster.org.uk acts as a hub for community based activity in SW1. It has been created by the South Westminster Renewal Partnership which aims to improve access to services and opportunities for local people. You can visit the site here.

Victoria monthly reports

Regular projects
Each City Guardian within Victoria takes personal responsibility for a project that aims to improve the quality of life of residents within the area. These projects include:

Tables and Chairs  - Baz is the link officer with the Street Licensing Enforcement Team. He identifies premises that are blocking pathways and informs the enforcement team by doing a monthly audit.

Schools – Edward attends all the schools in the area and gives assemblies, explaining to the pupils how to be a good citizenship and what it entails. He has built strong links with the local schools and hopes to get more involved over the next year.

Rough Sleepers - Katarzyna has strong links with Building Based Services and encourages rough sleepers to seek help from the services offered. She signposts all the rough sleepers and chases up outstanding requests for the team.

Drugs and Alcohol – Eileen is the link officer for the Drugs and Alcohol Action Team and she shares intelligence with them, and the police, regarding drug and alcohol abuse in the area.

Recycling - Daniela will be educating the community on the importance of recycling and how to save energy in order to improve the environment in which they live.
