The Zone

Are you 13-16? Would you like the power to make a change in the library services offered to you?

Westminster libraries are looking for a group of 15 teenagers, who are passionate about books and reading, and are giving them the opportunity to design their dream teen library area.

If you are 13-16 and would like to be involved in buying stock, designing new libraries, meeting authors and attending publishing parties then get in touch. Zone

Eleven Westminster Libraries have areas set aside for young people, called 'Zones'. They include fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and homework collections aimed at the 11-19 age group, all marked with an orange 'Z'. Some libraries also have listening posts for you to listen to CDs before you borrow.

The libraries also have a wide range of DVDs and CDs for loan, and if you have a Youth Passport you can get 20% off hire charges!

There are pilot collections of books at youth clubs around the City, including at the Four Feathers in Marylebone.
