Prize winning books

The book trade has its prizes and its award ceremonies, just like the film industry has its Oscars and BAFTAs.

Some awards make the headlines in the national newspapers and are featured on the radio and television news – particularly the Man Booker Prize, the Costa Book Prize, British Book Awards, and the Orange Prize.
