  • Computer skills including ECDL, typing, Internet use, Microsoft Word / Excel / Access, using e-mail, FrontPage, Lotus Notes, Powerpoint etc.
  • Online language courses

Internet access is available to Open Learning Members.

How the Centre works
  • Once you have paid your annual subscription it's free to use the Centre.
  • If you want to take a book home you can keep it for up to six weeks.
  • You can keep a book longer if you renew it - up to twelve weeks more.
  • If you need help the staff will be pleased to advise on the courses.
Using the Open Learning Centre
  • Please book in advance when you want to use a computer.
  • If you return a book after the date stamped you will be charged fines at the standard rate.
  • You cannot install your own software on the Centre's computers.
  • Computer based courses and CD ROMs may not be borrowed - they can only be used in the Centre.
  • Please remember to bring your Open Learning card with you - you cannot borrow without it.
