CANS Advice Notes is a detailed and practical summary of the laws of England, Wales and Scotland. The law is set out in a user-friendly way to make it easier for you to find the information you need.

CANS Advice Notes is published by CANS Trust, a charity that provides low-cost legal information.

CANS Advice Notes provides you with a comprehensive guide to over 450 areas of law. To make it easier to find information we have divided these areas into 20 subjects, including Business, Consumer Protection, Discrimination, Education, Employment, Family Health and Welfare, Housing Immigration and Individual Rights.

There are several ways to search CANS Advice Notes. You can get tips on searching by downloading the "How To" guide here. CAN's is available both inside every Westminster library outside with a Westminster libraries membership card.
