How can I join the library?Come in with a parent or guardian, and you can join straight away, or get an application form and bring it into the library once your parent or guardian has signed it.
All libraries are open after school and on Saturdays, and some are open on Sundays too. The exact times vary, so check your local library's details on this website.
You can borrow books, story tapes, CDs and DVDs (with the appropriate certificates for your age-groups).
You can borrow up to 20 items at a time, for up to 3 weeks. You can phone, use the website or come into the library to renew them for another 3 weeks, provided nobody else is waiting for them.
Not if you are under 15, but we do like you to bring things back on time in case somebody else is waiting for them.
Can I take them back to another library?Yes – you can return items to any public library in Westminster.

Yes, but only the books are free – you’ll have to pay if you want to borrow CDs or DVDs.

There are large reference collections at Marylebone Information Service and Westminster Reference Library. Westminster Music Library is upstairs in Victoria Library, and has a large collection of sheet music and scores. Westminster City Archives has a great collection of local history material.
