Porchester Spa re-opens

Porchester Spa has re-opened after a half million-pound refurbishment. This 1929 art deco spa provides three Turkish hot rooms, two Russian steam rooms, a Finnish log sauna, and an ice cold plunge pool.

There is also a full shower suite, relaxation area with small café facility and a number of specialist treatment rooms.

The Porchester Spa is open seven days a week from 10am-10pm and offers a pay as you go or membership options. We offer mixed or male / female only sessions.

Three treatment rooms offer a variety of relaxing and revitalising treatments, which are available at an extra cost and include Aromatherapy, body treatments, eyebrow shaping and tinting, eyelash tinting, facials, manicures, massages, pedicures, reflexology, reki and waxing.

Other treatments include:

'Shmeissing' and 'Hot Towels'. Shmeissing is the Jewish art of Steam room therapy. A shmeise involves being massaged with a soft giant-sized soapy raffia brush in a steam room. It's a truly exhilarating experience. This treatment can then be followed by fresh cold towels. The Hot Towels treatment is a Deep Healing Treatment designed for some serious smoothing out and stress removal. The treatment consists of a firm massage with jasmine oil on a marble slab followed by hot towel wraps helping to leave you feeling totally energised. Both of these treatments are unique to The Porchester Spa and have been highlighted in the 2008 Time Out Spa Guide.
