Marshall Street refurbishment scheme

A deal has been finalised for the regeneration of the historic Grade II listed Marshall Street Baths in the heart of Westminster. The council has signed a contract with a consortium, Marshall Street Regeneration to restore the baths which closed in 1997 due to health and safety and maintenance issues.

As a result of this deal the Soho community will receive a high quality refurbished and upgraded leisure centre including restoration of the main 1930's marble lined pool and modern facilities, including a gym, exercise studios, health suite and treatment rooms. It is hoped that the centre will be open to the public by the first half of 2009.

In addition the scheme will deliver a new purpose built street cleansing depot, an upgraded car park and residential flats (with a proportion of affordable housing).
