Results from the Global City Survey

Westminster City Council have published the results of the very first survey of city managers around the world.

In total 41 cities responded, including Osaka, Warsaw, Berlin and Baltimore, with city managers surveyed having responsibility in total for over 23 million people.

The survey revealed that globally city managers share broadly the same three key priorities, to deliver a clean and safe environment; to maintain a strong economy and to provide jobs and opportunities. The three top issues facing cities globally were the economy, transportation and social well being.

The global city survey was launched by Westminster City Council as a means of sharing best practise, part of the Council's ambition to achieve excellence in city management in absolute terms.
