Q. I'm a resident of Westminster, I want to know what times to put my waste out for collection from my street.

A. The times and days of collections from your street are available on this web site, or you can call our Environment Action Line on 020 7641 2000. By law you may place your waste, properly contained (i.e. in black plastic bags), out on the street, half an hour before your collection is scheduled. If this is a problem (for example you are at work during your collection time), please contact the Environment Action Line for further advice.

Q. I've just opened a business in Westminster, how do I get my waste removed?

A. Waste collection from businesses in Westminster is dealt with by the Commercial Waste Team. They operate a 'Pre-Paid Bag' scheme in which business customers purchase special sacks and tape (for cardboard items). They can also supply and install Compactors (machines for pre compressing waste material), skips and other containers. Commercial waste must not be placed out for collection in black bags alongside residential waste.
