Contaminated Land

The Council is required to inspect land in its district for contamination. The inspection strategy was scheduled to run up to July 2006.

The inspection programme looked at urban residential areas, sites close to historic locations, controlled waters and protected environmental areas. However, most sites in Westminster will only be remediated as part of the development planning process. Click the link to the left on Contaminated Land Strategy for further information.
