Residential Unit Sum Update

Update to the residential unit sum used in financial contributions in lieu of affordable housing contained within the Unitary Development Plan

As per Unitary Development Plan policy H4 paragraph 3.52 (Chapter 3), the per unit sum in lieu of affordable housing is updated annually to reflect increases in land values.  The new figure for 2008/9 for use from 1st April 2008 is £179,000, and £239,000 for the designated higher value areas.  The Cabinet Member report and accompanying consultants’ advice can be viewed on the link below.
