Leicester Square

Your Square, your choice
Westminster City Council and the Heart of London Business Alliance have been working closely together on the proposed new concept designs for Leicester Square, its gardens and the nine side streets that surround it.

The new concept design includes:

  • new contemporary granite paving for the Square, gardens and side streets;
  • new state of the art functional and decorative lighting;
  • a unique and original white granite ribbon seating design;
  • an iconic new building to replace the existing ticket booth;
  • contemporary planting and new bronze railings and gates to create a stunning new look for the gardens; and
  • a complete refurbishment of the Square's below ground toilets.

We are also developing a dedicated management plan for the Square, gardens and side streets, to ensure its world class status long after it has been implemented.
