Westminster City Council manages the West End, ensuring it is a safe and attractive area for residents and visitors. However, to remain a truly world-class location in the future, the West End can’t afford to stand still.

The council is working on these five areas in partnership with a range of groups.
How are we doing this? We have seven major initiatives to improve the quality of the West End experience. These cover all the major areas of the West End: Oxford, Regent and Bond Streets, Soho, Theatreland, Chinatown, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Edgware Road.
Step one is to draw up an action plan in consultation with local residents, businesses and other interested parties. Once adopted by the council, we then translate these aspirations into funded projects that deliver for the West End.
