Westminster's Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs)
This page contains information on Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) that have been produced as part of Westminster's Local Development Framework (LDF).
SPDs expand on the Council's adopted policies to provide more detailed information than can be contained in the policies themselves. They give guidance to the public, applicants and developers when making planning applications. In some cases they may set out how policies apply to a particular site.
SPDs replace 'Supplementary Planning Guidance' (SPGs) under the planning system introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. They are produced with more customer consultation, and are therefore given greater weight when planning applications are decided.
Certain Conservation Area Audits, and Planning Briefs have been adopted as Supplementary Planning Documents.
Additional Conservation Area Audits, and Planning Briefs are being adopted as Supplementary Planning Documents.
