The Local Development Framework (LDF), together with the Mayor's London Plan will form the statutory Development Plan for Westminster. The LDF will be made up of a folder of documents as seen in the diagram above and in a larger format here.
The LDF will replace Westminster’s Unitary Development Plan (UDP) and will will take account of the council's own strategies as well as other agencies' plans and proposals. This more holistic approach was introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, and is known as 'spatial' planning.
