Core Strategy

Issues and Options

The Issues and Options Document
The first stage in the production of the Core Strategy was the preparation of an 'Issues and Options' paper for public consultation.  Westminster's Issues and Options paper was consulted on during the summer 2007.

For the second stage, the council is consulting on its 'Preferred Options' for the Core Strategy from 24th July to the 30th September 2008.  Following this, the Core Strategy document itself will be drafted.

Consultation Responses to the Issues and Options stage
The Issues and Options paper was made available for public consultation between mid May and July 2007.  During this period Council officers attended Westminster City Partnership (WCP) thematic networks, Local Area Renewal Partnership, and Area Forum meetings, and held discussions with amenity societies, business organisations, and property owners.  During these meetings officers sought views on specific issues, and explored a range of realistic options for changing policies.

  • The Audit Trail of consultation responses, compiled by issue and option, is available here.
  • The previous draft summary document is available here.
  • Copies of all the responses received are available here.
