The Local Development Framework (LDF) will include:
The Core Strategy
This statutory policy document will set out the vision and strategic objectives for Westminster, and will include broad locations for development, core policies for delivering the strategy, and a monitoring and implementation framework. All other Development Plan Documents (DPDs) will be in conformity with the Core Strategy.
City Management Development Plan Document (DPD)
This is a statutory policy document which will include policies that set out the criteria against which planning applications will be considered.
The Proposals Map
The Proposals Map will illustrate all of the policies and proposals contained in the DPDs.
Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs)
Supplementary Planning Documents must expand policy or provide further detail to policies in a DPD. They may take the form of design guides, area development briefs or issue-based documents. These replace Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPGs) under the new planning system.
