Property history information

Westminster City maintain statutory records of Planning Applications and decisions which in some cases date back forty or fifty years. These records are available for viewing as follows.


Website
The online search is a good starting point when carrying out research about properties in Westminster.  This gives access details of planning applications dating from 1990 (older in the case of some properties).

Application forms, drawings and decision notices can be viewed online for planning applications decided since May 2000.


Microfiche
For a full planning history you may also need to view Microfiche records. Please however note these contain only planning application forms and decision notices (up to March 2005) but do not contain drawings.

You can order microfiche online to view at One Stop Services (City Hall). Pease order 24 hours in advance so we can arrange for microfiche to be available prior to your arrival.

Please note charges will apply for copying documents.


Case Files
Case or TP files (Town Planning) contain application forms, decision notices, drawings and correspondence relating to a property. These are useful if you are carrying out detailed investigations.

Please email servicesupport@westminster.gov.uk to request case files giving as much information as possible about your requirements. Please allow 10 days for retrieval as these files are stored offsite. We will contact you once files are available for viewing.


Research Service
We are able to carry out research of planning history records on your behalf and send copies of documentation to you direct, subject to the following fees:
