Step 1: Getting a grant for hanging baskets

Why not Go for a Grant! A grant may be available to help with the cost of installing hanging baskets in your area. These are known as 50/50 grants schemes. To find out more about the criteria for eligibility, please go to the Information brochure at:

Once you have received approval you can arrange with your chosen contractor directly and once your hanging baskets are installed the City Council will refund 50% of the overall cost, for purchase, maintenance, and installation.

Please note that certain streets or lamp columns may not be suitable for this scheme and that certain streets in sensitive areas may also have restrictions. We will be happy to discuss these matters with you.
