Holding events in parks

Are you looking for a location or venue to carry out filming, photography or hold an event?

If you are, have you considered talking to Westminster’s Parks and Leisure Division. We control some of the prime Parks and Gardens locations (excluding the Royal Parks) in the centre of London.

Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces have been used to hold

  • Corporate Hospitality Events
  • Concerts
  • Product Launches
  • Locations for Film and Television.

Although there is a scale of fees for filming and photography the fees for events, concerts and product launches are negotiable. To contact the appropriate officer please go to our contacts page.

Westminster Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces have also been used by local groups such as Residents and Community Associations to hold events for the local communities (Fun Days, Garden Parties etc.) if you are one of these then please contact the respective manager for the park or garden concerned. There is a nominal charge for these types of event.

If the project you are proposing requires use of the adjacent Highway then you will also need to contact the City Councils Special Events Team or go to the Special Events web page.

As a guide the charges for Filming and Photography are:

  • Commercial photography £155 per hour.
  • Filming in Parks between £210 and £580 per hour depending on location.

As a guide to event costs:

  • Events usually cost between £800 and £2,570 per day depending on size of event and location.
