Pest Control Good Practice Agreement & Awards

Food and pest control

Aiming high in pest control

The Pest Control Good Practice Agreement is a pilot scheme supported by the British Pest Control Association (BPCA). It provides food businesses with an indication of their compliance with food hygiene law and identifies the service level of pest control contractors.

We have identified a need to work more in partnership with pest control contractors and food businesses in order to improve hygiene standards and raise awareness and appreciation of how pests are controlled within food premises.

There are awards for food premises and pest control contractors who have worked exceptionally well together to improve standards and raise awareness of pest within food premises.

How you can apply for the Award? As a food business and pest control contractor you have to demonstrate how you have successfully achieved the criteria in the good practice agreement under the following parts:

Pest Control awareness

Accountability

Treatment

Pest prevention

Communication

Overall partnership working

Working to the standards detailed in the Good Practice Agreement
