Children's Centres
What is a children's centre?
A children’s centre is a collective hub for families with children under five be able to access information and services. All centres have key services:
- early education and childcare for children under five
- child and family health services, including services for expectant parents
- family support, including help with parenting skills
- help for parents to get back into employment
Children’s centres in Westminster are made up of more than one service. Each children’s centre has a main site. Connected to the main children’s centres are many partner sites that also provide services available for you to use and are within walking distance of each other. Children’s centres bring together a range of partners from all sectors with the aim of providing children and their families with the best possible services.

Children’s centres have been formed to offer integrated services with the aim of providing children and their families with access to the best possible services with in walking distance.

When can I use a children's centre?
Children’s centres are open five days a week. Each venue has set opening hours and an activities calendar, so you can plan when you and your family will attend various sessions. Visit your local centre to find out more and to see what’s on offer.
