The Westminster Scrutiny Commission and the five Policy & Scrutiny Committees it oversees are responsible for scrutinising the work of the Leader, the Cabinet, individual Cabinet Members and each Council Department. They also assist the Council and the Cabinet in policy making and monitoring performance.
