Business Planning

Good business planning ensures that services are continuously improving and delivered effectively and efficiently. Business Plans are an essential tool for making rational and co-ordinated decisions about levels and types of provision, where resources are utilized effectively through clear links to financial planning.

Business Plans are a key part of the City Council’s overall Performance Management Framework. They provide a vital link between corporate and community objectives at a strategic level through to individual performance plans, so that each member of staff knows how what they do contributes to achieving the City Council’s objectives.
