Important information - 21 November 2008

City Hall One Stop will be closed this Saturday 22nd November for refurbishment – doors will remain open to allow access to the library. Service will resume as normal on Monday 24th November.

The One Stop Service at 91-93 Church Street, NW8 8EV will be open 9am – 3pm.

Cashiers will close at 5pm this Friday 21st November.

Service will resume as normal on Monday 24th November. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.


One Stop ServicesOne Stop Services provides face-to-face access to all Westminster City Council services under one roof. We aim to put customers first and our officers are there to provide advice and solutions to any enquiry you have about Council services.

We’re getting a new look

The St James's One Stop Service is being refurbished over the coming weeks. When it is finished it will provide you with:

  • A nicer environment
  • Better use of space
  • An area for private meetings
  • A new self-serve area

To allow this work to go ahead with minimal disruption, we may need to change some of our opening times. We will keep you informed of specific changes nearer the time but in the meantime we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We have three offices, sited in convenient locations throughout Westminster and easily accessible by public transport. They are open plan in design to provide easy access and our Church St and City Hall branches are open six days a week for your convenience.

If you would prefer to contact Westminster Council by telephone or email rather than in person you can do so by telephoning the main switchboard on 020 7641 6000, where the operator will transfer you to the best person to deal with your enquiry, or by emailing us. Your feedback is important to us and we do use it to improve our service. When you visit One Stop we would be grateful if you would complete one of our customer feedback cards or tell a member of staff who will make a note of your comments. We will publish your feedback, and details of how we are using it to improve our service, on our site notice boards and on the One Stop web page.
