How much does it cost to get married?

The fee for giving legal notice of intended marriage is £30 for each notice.Two notices are required.

Register Office
If you are getting married in a Register Office the fee at the time of the marriage will be £43.50.

Approved Venue
If you are getting married in an Approved Venue the fee for getting married is different in each local authority and you need to contact the office for the district in which the venue is situated to establish the correct fee.

Religious building
If you plan to marry in a religious building where a Registrar attends, the fee is £50.50.
