Information

LASC's information service is a central online source of information on key issues facing those working with unaccompanied asylum seeking children. LASC provides up-to-date and relevant information taking into account the changing environment.

Through a series of specialist reference and task group meetings, LASC brings together practitioners from local authority asylum teams, the government and the voluntary sector for information sharing sessions and joint working.

Data Services

As home to the National Register of Unaccompanied Children and a specialist in asylum trends, one of LASC’s principal duties is data collation and distribution.

Statistics are sent to LASC from the London boroughs and other key stakeholders.  By collating this information, LASC provides an essential service to the London boroughs, allowing them to compare asylum statistics to other boroughs, and to London as a whole.
