Survey and Identification of Asbestos Containing Material
Asbestos Containing Material (ACMS) are not always readily identifiable, or they may be concealed behind decorative finishes. If you are concerned that your property may contain ACMs and require professional advice, laboratory analysis of a suspect material or an asbestos survey, you are recommended to use an organisation accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

If you are concerned about the risk presented by a damaged ACM and wish to have it safely removed you should use an asbestos removal contractor licensed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Details of asbestos removal contractors in your area who are members of recognised trade associations may be found on the following websites:
