Business Improvement Districts (BIDs)

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are locally controlled partnerships for improving the environment and economic performance of a defined area.

They are created by groups of businesses to oversee and fund environmental improvements and the provision of a limited number of additional or enhanced local services.

Westminster City Council supports BIDs, and is actively involved in three schemes.

Heart of London at Coventry Street,
Paddington BID at Praed Street
New West End Company at Oxford Street, Regent Street Bond Street.
