Proposed City of Westminster (Street Trading) Bill

Consultation Paper

Westminster City Council proposes to deposit a new Private Bill into Parliament in November 2008. The Bill would deal with various aspects of street trading currently regulated in Westminster by the City of Westminster Act 1999, and may touch on other issues, including the management of street trading pitches in the public realm, the use of tables and chairs on the highway, and news vendors.

The City Council would welcome your views on their proposals which are set out in the attached Consultation Paper (Appendix 2).
