Mobile CCTV

The team has three mobile CCTV vehicles as well as 15 cameras that can be moved between locations. The CCTV vehicles are deployed to areas that would benefit from a presence that has proved very effective in the past at deterring anti-social behaviour and collecting evidence about a number of different types of crime. The team deploy the vehicles both on a proactive monitoring basis and as part of specific operations requested by a range of partners, including the Metropolitan Police. All use of CCTV equipment is governed by the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA).
