Street Licensing Enforcement

The Street Licensing Enforcement Team (SLET) is a multi-disciplinary team that consists of officers from Environmental Health, the Mobile CCTV Team and the Market Inspection Team.

A large proportion of the work carried out by the SLET service consists of pro-active inspections, and many enforcement operations are carried out each year. The team’s main duties are:


  • Highway Obstructions
  • Illegal Advertising
  • Illegal Street Trading
  • Market Inspections
  • Mobile CCTV
  • Special Events


The Street Licensing Enforcement Team also works closely with a number of agencies including the Metropolitan Police, Revenue and Customs, the Benefits Agency, Home Office Immigration officers, court bailiffs, the Federation Against Copyright Theft, as well as other council teams.


Hours of Operation

The Street Licensing Enforcement Team service is split into five enforcement teams that operate around Westminster. The team’s operation hours are:
