The City of Westminster Licensing Service deals with a range of licensing activities including Premises and Personal licences under the Licensing Act 2003, Street Trading (including street markets and tables and chairs), Sex shops and General Licences (including Pet Shops, Massage and Special Treatment, Poisons etc). The Licensing Act covers the sale or supply of alcohol, the provision of regulated entertainment and the provision of late night refreshment.
Since November 2005 Local authorities have been responsible for licensing alcohol and other activities within their council area. The Licensing Act 2003 covers Premises Licences, Club Certificates, Temporary Event Notices and Personal Licences. For more information click on the licence type in the menu on the left.
